If you own a RingConn Gen 1, Gen 2, or Gen 2 Air, you can get up to $70 off when upgrading to Gen 3.

How the trade-in works

Step 1: Check eligibility

You need proof of purchase for your current RingConn ring:

  • Order confirmation email
  • RingConn account showing your registered device
  • Original receipt

Step 2: Apply during Gen 3 purchase

The trade-in discount is applied at checkout when you order Gen 3. You don’t need to send your old ring back.

Step 3: Keep your old ring

RingConn doesn’t require you to return the old device. This is different from some trade-in programs.

What to do with your old ring

Since you keep it, options include:

  • Backup ring: Keep it as a spare if Gen 3 has issues
  • Family member: Give it to someone who wants to try smart rings
  • Compare data: Wear both rings for a week to compare accuracy
  • Sell secondhand: Gen 2 still has resale value (~$150-200 on eBay)

Is the trade-in worth it?

Worth it if:

  • You were planning to upgrade anyway
  • Your Gen 2 battery is degraded (common after 1-2 years)
  • You want the new features (vibration, BP trends, longer battery)

Not worth it if:

  • Your Gen 2 works perfectly and you don’t need new features
  • You’re sensitive to budget ($244 minimum is still significant)
  • You just bought Gen 2 recently (less than 6 months)

Important caveats

  1. Sizing doesn’t transfer: Gen 3 uses a new sizing system. Even with trade-in, you need the free sizing kit.

  2. Trade-in value varies: The “up to $70” means the actual discount depends on your specific ring model and purchase history.

  3. Limited time: Trade-in program details may change after pre-order period ends.
